Worthing Storytellers

Performing - The Selkie's Skin and Other Tales

The Selkie's Skin is a bedtime story for adults. Hear this haunting and poetic retelling of the classic Selkie folktale, along with other traditional tales, told by the founders of the Worthing Storytellers.

Amy Sutton trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She first started storytelling with the Brighton Storytellers and now tells nationally and internationally, touring Austria with traditional folk tales last year.

Joshua Crisp came into storytelling through children's theatre. He joined the Brighton Storytellers and now brings Greek myths and British fairy tales to events and theatres across the UK.

Worthing Storytellers was created in January 2019 by Amy and Joshua. It is a monthly evening event at the Cellar Arts Club, showcasing traditional tales, myths and folklore as told by local storytelling talent. Find out more at www.facebook.com/WorthingStorytellers.
