A priest is torn when his brother confesses to a serious crime in the confessional. Should he keep his brother’s secret or break the seal of confession? What unfolds challenges his and our beliefs that we can accept the truth, even when it is unpalatable.

Nadya Henwood – Playwright and Director

Nadya started a play writing course at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2014, having joined Breakwater Performers earlier that year. She has continued to write and act ever since, appearing in several productions with local groups. Confession is the second One-Act play she has written, and she is delighted to bring this sterling cast to WTT. This is her debut as both Playwright and Director at WTT.

Zahir White - Tom

Zahir began Am Dram in 2009 and has appeared in over twenty Am Dram productions including An Inspector Calls, The Unexpected Guest and Port Out Starboard Home. He also took part in the Worthing Theatre Trail in 2018 and 2019, appearing in I Am Hamlet for Lancing Repertory Theatre and Terminal Terror for Rustington Players.

Jody Bull - Steve

Jody is thrilled to be supporting Nadya in her debut show. He has been walking the local boards for many a moon, his most recent role being Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol with Rustington Players. This will be his first appearance in the Worthing Theatre Trail.

Claire Cossins – Kate

Claire has always enjoyed taking part in the Arundel Theatre Trail, so she is excited to be part of this thought-provoking play at WTT. Claire is a seasoned performer, her favourite roles being Ruth Ellis with Drip Action in Arundel and Helen Stewart from Bad Girls with Worthing Musical Theatre Company. She is currently rehearsing as Morticia in The Addams Family with Tori Productions.

Tegan Monroe – Ella

Tegan first appeared on stage at 7 weeks old with Tori Productions at the Windmill Theatre. Over 13 years she has been in many musicals with them. She is currently rehearsing for The Addams Family, being performed later this year. She took part in The Silver Sword and A Christmas Carol with Rustington Players as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Theatre Royal in Brighton. This is her debut at WTT.
